Mercedes‑Benz Loaded Roller Brake Testing
Better Practice. Better Protection.
Loaded roller brake testing is now a standard feature of an enhanced Mercedes Service.
For contracts that were introduced on or after the 1st July 2021, the Loaded Roller Brake test is now carried out during every Safety Inspection, wherever possible, for total peace of mind*.
Benefits of a loaded roller brake test include:
- Braking system tested to the operational performance level
- Load sensing functionality tested
- Braking components stress tested
*Due to basic design limitations, or restrictions caused by the type of cargo in the vehicle there may be some instances when a laden test would not be possible, as identified in the DVSA “Heavy vehicle brake test: best practice”
Best Practice. As Standard.
Loaded roller brake testing (as standard in our Service Contracts) is in line with the recommendations included within the DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness. The DVSA advise that meaningful loaded roller brake tests are conducted at every Safety Inspection.
Trust Mercedes-Benz to deliver optimum safety standards.
